CASTLES IN THE CLOUDS

by Bruce Leigh
brucel@epic.co.uk

Naked earth is filled with a silent sound.
The light is come early this new morning.
Listen how the sun steams frost from the ground,
Let the day enter your body; yawning,
Feel sunlight caress your lips; warming.

Let me swirl your senses with a soft word
Love, awakening within a mumble.
Let me tell you stories you've never heard.
And when I'm finished; through clouds we tumble,
Like playing catch in the dark; I fumble.

Take me again my love, up through the mist.
And touch me like the sun shining, sometimes.
Let's lie, be still, pretend we're dead and lost;
Hold each other, tighter than ropes that bind
Us to the secret shared place in our minds.
