- 1964 Robert Ettinger publishes "The Prospect of Immortality", the first book advocating cryonics to reach a wide audience.
- 1964-68 Influential articles by writers, statemen, doctors, scientists, and media personalities refute ancient deathoid beliefs, and growing numbers of people arrange to be suspended.
- 1968 In a successful re-election bid, President Johnson declares "War on Death", and pushes legislation incorporating cryonics benefits into the Great Society.
- 1973 More than half of 1973 American "deaths" result in cryonic suspension.
- 1972-76 Many Western European countries, and the Soviet Union, enact programs saving dead and dying patients.
- 1990 Cryonic suspensions outnumber deaths world-wide for the first time.
What really happened:
- 1964 Robert Ettinger publishes "The Prospect of Immortality", the first book advocating cryonics to reach a wide audience.
- 1967 First person successfully frozen (who still survives).
- 1968 Johnson loses "War On Poverty", and, amid other troubles, does not even run for re-election.
- 1968-96 Statesmen, journalists, intellectuals, doctors, and scientists almost completely ignore cryonics. In the mean time, a billion and a half people die forever, in history's greatest unnecessary tragedy.
Many Jews ask, "How could you have allowed it to happen? Why didn't you say anything?" Now, however, it's too late now to affect the events of 1941-45.
But it's not too late to stop the Deathoid Holocaust. Are you going to sit idly by and wait for another billion and a half people to die? What then will be your excuse later on? That you didn't know it was happening? Well, you do now!
